Meta School

The CPCB MetaSchool is Professional Development Series that provides additional enrichment opportunities to complement the excellent didactic and research training that our students receive.  This series as a way to help prepare our students for future success in their academic careers.  The MetaSchool touches on topics such as: big picture trends in comp bio, working in industry, being a professor, non-traditional science careers, and general advice and practice on how to prepare oneself in the pursuit of their career.  The CPCB Meta School is designed to give our students a head start as they begin to compete for postdoctoral positions and fellowships, research support, faculty positions, and jobs in industry and other sectors.
